AGES 6-8

Beginners use a comprehensive program that focuses on reinforcing simple Biblical principles and presenting ideas in kid-friendly ways that are easy to understand and remember. Sunday morning services, are musical, media-driven, and creative, featuring high-energy praise songs, worship, skits, puppets, the Key Message, and much more. Children are able to share their prayer requests or praise reports via their Letters To God, which they pray over as a group. They also learn the Key Verse, a Bible verse that accompanies the series theme in the Beginner’s class.

Sunday mornings begin with a short Worship Service, then the grades are escorted to different classrooms to learn the lessons that go along with the series theme. Some Sunday, they’ll enjoy the lesson brought to them by the adventurous, fun, exciting & ever-learning staff. Another Sunday, they may go back in time to Bible days to see a miracle take place or hear a message taught by a hero from the Bible. The kids are rotated each Sunday to a different class so they’re able to enjoy the lesson taught in a different way…but just for them. There’s so much more going on, but you’ll have to drop by & see all that’s happening with our beginner’s class! If you have children, please make sure they don’t miss out. Doors open on Sunday morning at 9:30 am for all kids.

Trish Redus

Trish Redus and her family came to New Life Pentecostal Church in 2003, and says she feels blessed to have been able to call this church her home for the last 12 years. As a young person, her desire was to teach children. She enjoys being able to serve the Beginners class because, although the students are young, she finds their enthusiasm for the things of God amazing. Each week they bring sincere prayer requests, and share testimonies of answered prayers.
She has expressed how honored she feels to be entrusted with teaching this class. It is her desire to see each student advance in their knowledge of the Scriptures, and grow to have a genuine faith in God and an unwavering belief in the power of prayer.

Anna Olmos

The Olmos family moved to the Olathe area in 2012. They visited many churches before settling at New Life. When she came, Anna said it felt as though she had found a family. She often expresses her appreciation for the truth that is taught and the love and support that is shown at New Life Pentecostal Church. That appreciation is readily recognizable as she pours her heart into everything she does for the Kingdom of God.
